Bypassing Activation on the Galaxy Tab

Posted on February 18th, 2011 in Andriod Tablets by kjoseph  Tagged , ,

I have the Galaxy Tab without a data package and I successfully bypassed Verizon activation in order to use it in Wi-Fi mode only. Yes, it really works. Free Wi-Fi as it should be – no pricey data package. Unfortunately, reports show that it’s not working for customers who purchased the Sprint model.

Here are the steps. After the language selection screen:
* Press “Volume Up” one time
* Press “Volume Down” two times
* Press “Volume Up” three times
* Press “Volume Down” four times
* Enter a Google Account username and password

Whala! Wi-Fi!
